Minister of State for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Dr. Salamah Mohammed Ismail affirmed the state's interest in and sponsorship of all women's programs in terms of the inherent role of women in achieving comprehensive and sustainable development in the country.
The celebration was held on Monday, February 11, 2019, in celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and the Open Day of Women's Clubs (STEM), which was organized by the Faculty of Education at Al-Jazira University in cooperation with UNESCO Chair and ISESCO Of Science and Technology at the Sudan University of Science and Technology.
She pointed out that women's issues are vital issues that can not be separated from development issues because they have an impact on the deepening and marginalization of development concepts that support and encourage scientific research as an essential foundation for the development and progress desired.
She called for awareness of the productive concepts that encourage production, by creating investment projects that contribute to increase production and raise productivity in the country.
She also stressed the State's keenness to achieve the optimal management of knowledge issues in general and the concerns of youth and women in particular, in support of the security and stability of the country.
