Prime Minister Mu'taz Moazzi directed the immediate preparation of the coming summer and winter seasons and supporting agricultural production by giving priority to financing and introducing new agricultural areas for production, especially with the political and security stability in the country, as well as the need to focus on raising the efficiency and productivity of the traditional rain sector. Addressed on Tuesday 22 January 2019, the Sixth Conference of Ministers of Production and Economic Resources of the States of the General Directorate of Economic and Agricultural Planning in the presence of a number of ministers and officials of the State.
The conference comes under the banner of agriculture with modern technologies for raising, production and productivity to achieve food security and increase exports. The conference also aims to transform the agricultural sector from traditional to dynamic, modern high production and productivity.
According to the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Mohammed Mohsen Mohammed described the agricultural sector as a locomotive of economic growth and sustainable development in the country, stressing the necessity of creating an environment for agricultural investment and tightening coordination between the center and the states to achieve food security in the country.
For his part, Abdullah Mohammed, minister of economic resources in the state of Kassala Annaba, said that the country has achieved the highest productivity and cultivated area for the year 2018, which is a solid ground for achieving agricultural and economic renaissance. The conference will present a number of scientific papers aimed at increasing productivity using the latest technologies to achieve Self-sufficiency and increased agricultural exports.
