Prime Minister inaugurates the first electronic payment market in Khartoum state

Prime Minister Moataz Mousa inaugurated on Sunday (January 20th, 2019) the first electronic payment market in the state of Khartoum in Al-Kalakala district of Jabal Awlia, in the presence of the Minister of Information and Communications and Information Technology, the Minister of State in the Council of Ministers and the Governor of the Bank of Sudan.
 
He explained Mr. Mohammed Khair Al-Zubair, Governor of the Bank of Sudan, said that the move comes within the framework of spreading the culture of electronic payment among citizens. He praised the Prime Minister's interest in e-payment projects and the development of banking technology, pointing out that the bank seeks to develop electronic payment systems He added that such systems contribute to the good management of funds and savings and the purchase of goods and services easily and pointing to the Council of Ministers approval of electronic payment matrix, which includes thirteen axis, stressing the Bank's determination to move forward in the transition to the electronic money community e.
The Governor of the Bank of Sudan appreciated the great role played by telecommunications companies, electronic payment service providers and the National Information Center in the promotion and development of banking technology systems.
