The Minister of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Ahmed Saad Omar, hailed the pioneering role played by the Board of Accreditation.
Pointing out that the Council is proceeding at a steady urgent pace and highly professional. Indicating that the establishment of national accreditation bodies has become an urgent necessity because it represents the cornerstone of the quality system, it is also accounted as one of the basic tools and policies that can be used by decision-makers in promoting the economy and health, safety and security services.
This came when he chaired in the Council of Ministers on Thursday morning, 20 December 2018 a meeting of the Sudanese Council for accreditation the minister stressed the need to intensify awareness programs of the importance of accreditation and its role in supporting the economy and consumer protection.
The meeting reviewed the strategy of the Council for the year 2019-2021 and the plan of the year 2019 presented by Dr. Kamal Al-Hadi Secretary General of the Sudanese Council for Accreditation, who pointed out that the strategy aims to develop the infrastructure of quality to enhance the efficiency of the conformity assessment bodies and take into account the bases of cooperation with counterparties that have bilateral cooperation relations, pointing out that the most prominent features of the plan for the year 2019 include the implementation of the second phase of the requirements for obtaining international recognition in the field of testing laboratories in facilitating the performance of business, Raising capacity and increasing conformity assessment adopted bodies.
The meeting recommended the completion of the road map for the establishment of the Council in coordination with the concerned parties in Country and abroad.
