Prime Minister meets the Federation of Trade Unions of Sudan

The Prime Minister praised the national role played by the Federation of Trade Unions of Sudan, confirming the State's supporting all fair issues of workers as well as commitment to sponsoring and supporting the institutions of the Union to contribute to the macroeconomic course as required.
This came in a meeting on Sunday, December 16, 2018 with the Executive Office of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Sudan, in the presence of the Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Mr. Mustafa Yousef Hawally, where the meeting addressed the state budget for 2019 and the issue of wage increase.
In a press statement, Eng. Yousef Abdel-Karim, president  of the General Union of Sudanese Trade Unions, said that the wage increase was agreed at LE500 for the lowest grade in the structure to be added to the first group to LE 2500. and increase a 500 pound for the Pensioners. Eng. Youssef pointed to the social role of the union to face the cost of living through the reduced sales markets in all the states of the Sudan and its localities, noting the experience of the Union in the workers' Food portfolio, which distributed four basic baskets for all employees this year. Stressing the continuation of the Union in support of workers in the State. He said that the union would work through the workers' company for microfinance to give all workers in Sudan productive projects to achieve additional income.
The President of the Federation of Trade Unions of Sudan explain that the meeting discussed the issues of entitlements and rights of workers who lost their jobs in their institutions and all those who have benefits or arrears indicating that the Prime Minister directed to pay them their entitlements  immediately
