The Technical Committee for the Economic Development Sector reviews the performance report of the Ministry of Water Resources, Irrigation and Electricity

The Technical Committee of the Economic Development Sector at the Council of Ministers on Monday 26 November 2018 under the chairmanship of Mr. Musa Omar Abu Qasim Ahmed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Water Resources, Irrigation and Electricity, reviewed the annual performance report for 2018 and the 2019 plan for the Ministry of Water Resources,

The meeting commended the report and recommended giving precedence to the extension of networks at different levels of effort to the agricultural and industrial production sites as well as the work of a joint study with the Ministry of Oil to illuminate the markets in the mining areas and stimulate the private sector to invest in the electricity sector with the need to reduce the cost of financing and focus on generating electricity from the least expensive sources The report pointed out the completion of the entry of four turbines from the upper reaches of Atbara and Stett at the implementation rate of 100% with a total capacity of 320 MW, of which 160 MW were introduced in 2018 in the national network, as well as the implementation of the 100% A total of 150 megawatts
