Joint ministerial committees review the report of the pharmaceutical industry

The joint committees of the ministerial sectors of the Council of Ministers have affirmed the importance of the pharmaceutical industries because they are linked to the health of the citizens and called for the development of a comprehensive drug policy aimed at providing citizens with the least possible cost of medicines through support and encouragement of local industrialization and investment.

And the review of the Joint Technical Committees in its meeting on Tuesday, 13 November 2018 under the chairmanship of Mr. Abu Bakr Awad Hassanein, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, the report of the pharmaceutical industry, which recommended a serious effort to develop a plan for the development of pharmaceutical industries to self-sufficiency, as well as increasing the productive capacities of factories operating in the country with increased funding The pharmaceutical sector, especially production inputs, and double the flow of investment in them by following encouraging policies for the pharmaceutical industry.

The meeting also recommended the use of scientific research in the field of pharmacy, drugs and poisons, as well as focusing on the natural herbs and local resources of Sudan in the manufacturing process
