Joint Meeting of the Ministerial Sectors reviews a report on the textile industry

The ministerial meeting of the ministerial sectors on Tuesday 30 October 2018 stressed the need to prepare an executive program according to the priorities and liabilities of the development of the textile industry and focus on investment and production on the value chain to maximize return on exports and achieve self-sufficiency and export surpluses

The meeting recommended encouraging national factories and opening up opportunities for free and fair competition in investment in spinning and weaving sector, and taking care of technical training for workers in the field and rehabilitation, in addition to the localization of spinning and weaving industries and the use of modern technologies in the field.

The meeting, chaired by Mr. Ahmed Saad Omar, Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, reviewed a report on the spinning and weaving industry in Sudan and the future vision. The report referred to the future vision of the textile industry and its role in the economy of the country and removing all obstacles to promote it and encourage investment in it and take all the necessary policies, And protection is necessary.
