South Kordofan State is delimited by the North Kordofan State and the Unity State in the north, the Upper Nile State in the south and the White Nile State in the northeastern. Area: 970470 kilometers square. Population: 1066171 persons Most important crops: cotton, karkade, sesame and millet. Animal resources: 17025000 heads. There are 657 Basic Schools and 62 Secondary Schools. Most important towns: AlRashad, Al-Dalanj, Abu Jebeiha, Taludi and Kadugli which is the capital of the State
