The Cabinet held its regular session chaired by Ustaz Ali Osman Mohamed Taha today morning 22/7/2010 in which Ustaz Musa Mohamed Ahmed, Assistant to President presented a briefing to the esteemed Cabinet on the holding of the international Conference of Donors for the Development of Eastern Sudan convened in Kuwait in the end of next November, where the Cabinet was reassured about the progress of preparation for the Conference expressing his appreciation to Kuwait State for hosting and sponsoring the Conference which is expected to contribute in realization of development and services in the Eastern Sudan. The Cabinet also extended special praise to the Eastern Sudan Development Fund which succeeded in the implementation of vital projects there with a considerable support of brothers from Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and China. Dr. Luka Biong the minister of the Council of ministers presented the regulation for organizing the works of the Council of ministers, 2010 and a regulation for organizing the works of Ministerial Sectors 2010 which included what was mentioned in the Republican Decree No (22) for the year 2010 which defined the executive organs and the ministries and their functions, then the ministerial sectors which became 4 sectors under the resolution of the Cabinet No 180 for the year 2010. The two regulations have been endorsed. Finally, The cabinet was briefed on the decisions the ten Tamazuj states Forum held in Aweil on 14 and 15 July which came out with the need to enforce security in the Tamazuj states and the importance of regulating the tribal norms in these states as well as the need for the formation of a political committee for border demarcation in these states on the ground as well as providing much care for the Demining projects and reintegration and demilitarization in addition to opening of cattle routes for the nomads which were the source of conflict between the citizens in these areas. Among the decision are the ones for combating drugs cultivation and development of an economic strategy for developing Tamazuj areas as well as establishing a financing institution for the Tamazuj states in addition to discussion of micro-financing and the way of implementing it besides the construction of Diain / Raja/ Wau road and Diain/ Aweil Road together with collecting donations for realizing the motto of "billion Dollars for Reconstruction of the Homeland" in addition to holding of investment conference for Tamazuj states. The Cabinet further approved the decisions of the forum confirming its commitment to implement them as the strengthening of the ties between citizens of Tamazuj states supports social co-existence and increases the opportunity of voluntary unity between the citizens of the Country. Such forums have positive effects on the ground, so the Cabinet decides that they continue and the next forum shall be in Abyei. The Cabinet directed to implement its decisions for ultimate goal for which this mechanism had been formed.
