The Cabinet held its regular meeting this morning 4- Feb-2010, chaired by HE/ the President of the Republic, the Cabinet was briefed on the participation of HE/ and the accompanying delegation about his HE's/ participation in 14th AU Summit- in Addis Ababa, noting that, the Summit's works were focused on the future of Communication & Information in Africa as well as the Peace and Security status in Africa.

HE/ stated that the Summit was engulfed by a good and optimistic aspirations for a hopefully flourishing future for the Continent, its Countries and peoples, where other important issues were discussed such good governance, democracy, and peaceful exchange of power. The Cabinet also deliberated on the latest ICC allegations, rejecting such desperate attempt orchestrated purposely to abort the upcoming elections and prevent the peaceful settlement of the Darfur Issue. The Cabinet affirmed its determination to continue executing the national programs without being distracted by such evil plots.

HE Mr. Musa Mohamed Ahmed, Assistant to President of the Republic, present the report of the Committee for Streamlining the Exports and Imports Procedures via Sea Ports, where he disclosed a number of procedures which contributed in improving and developing technology used in sea ports to streamline procedures, extending working hours and enhancing coordination between the organs operating in the Port. The Cabinet, further, hailed the efforts and successes made by the Committee, approving its recommendations including the one concerning the ONE STOP SHOP system in the ports under the supervision of the Seaports Corporation, where the representatives of the concerned bodies will be empowered with real and full authorization.
