Technical Committee for follow up the Implementation of the National Strategy for the Construction of IT Industry in Sudan reviewed in a meeting headed by Engineer Ali Ahmed Osman, State Minister at the Ministry of Industry the Performance Report of the Committee, 2009 and Plan of Action, 2010. The Plan of Action, 2010 contains necessity for strengthening coordination and continuous evaluation of plans and executive programs for enforcing the strategy, strengthening the infrastructure of the information, communication, capacity building, increasing electronic applications in addition to raising awareness of access to the knowledge society, strengthening policies and legislation related to informatics, supporting the private sector and civil society organizations working in the field of information. On the other hand, the Committee heard a report on the Project of the information infrastructure in the Country which aims at building Governmental Information Network to link governmental units with each other and to be a base for the implementing E-government project in the Country as well as linking the Northern states to the Secretariat of the Government.
